Keep it simple but bold. Use bright colours, close-up faces, and short text. I’ve noticed that thumbnails with real emotion like surprise or excitement always perform better. I learned that the hard way after posting one dull thumbnail that nobody clicked 😩. Canva helps a lot too, I just pick a clean layout and tweak it small.
