How do I find my niche as a creator?
Finding your niche is a journey, I won't lie. I started doing random stuff like travel, tech, food until I noticed people vibed more with my tech tips. That’s how I locked in. Sometimes it’s not about what you love alone but what people connect with too. Just experiment and watch what clicks with you. You’ll figure it out eventually. So, it needs no pressure at all.

How do I create engaging YouTube thumbnails that get clicks?
Keep it simple but bold. Use bright colours, close-up faces, and short text. I’ve noticed that thumbnails with real emotion like surprise or excitement always perform better. I learned that the hard way after posting one dull thumbnail that nobody clicked 😩. Canva helps a lot too, I just pick a clean layout and tweak it small.

What sustainable materials can I use for crafting and making?
I’ve seen people made creative things with recycled fabrics, bamboo, and even old newspapers. Funny enough, my aunt used palm kernel shells for decor once and the thing was so beautiful. Sustainability does not have to be expensive or it’s just about being mindful and creative. Check local markets or your environment, you’ll find plenty of affordable eco-friendly materials. Sometimes, it’s those local finds that give your work the real thing you need.

How can I turn my handmade crafts into a successful business?
Start small and use social media to promote everything. I know one lady in Lagos that started by posting her crochet bags on Instagram now she’s getting international orders. I find out that people love handmade items, especially if the presentation makes sense. So, to do that, you have to learn branding, package your stuff well, and engage with people on a deeper level. Don’t wait till everything is perfect before you start. Start and grow with time.

Are AI-powered writing assistants worth it for content creators?
Honestly, yes and no. I’ve used a few, and I must say that they’re very cool for brainstorming or when my head is blank, but they can’t really capture that human flow. Sometimes I read what they write and just laugh like, “which kind of robotic talk is this?” 😂. If you depend on it too much, your content will likely lose that personal spark you need.
-
What's your go-to project management tool as a solo creator?
I’ve tried a lot of them, but I think Notion just clicks for me than the rest. It’s quite simple and flexible as well. I use it to track ideas, plan content, and even write small notes for videos. But if you’re just starting, Google Sheet can still work wonders if you know how to use it.

The Great Algorithm Mystery: Do You Create for the Algorithm or Your Audience?
I’d love to say “for the audience,” but truth be told, algorithm still hold that power. You can make a fire content, but if algorithm does not push it, it dies in silence. I try to balance both, make my people happy, but still package it for algorithm to pick it. It's just a survival tactic.

Community Crossroads: How Has Online Community Changed Your Real Life?
Honestly, online community changed my life big time. I met some good people who later became real friends. There was a time I was job hunting and one guy from a forum helped me fix my CV. Till today, we still gist. I think when you join the right online group, it boosts your confidence and connection too.

Creator Superpowers: If You Could Master One Skill Instantly, What Would It Be?
If I can master storytelling instantly, I will definitely definitely do well 😅 That’s one skill that makes any content stand out. You can talk just about anything and still make people hooked. I envy creators that talk like they’re just gisting but still drop some insight .Storytelling is a real superpower for content creation for sure.

Text Based Content Vs. Visual Content
Visual all the way for me. I’m a sucker for good thumbnails, bright colors, and smooth editing. People don’t read again like before, I'm going to be real. A clean visual grabs attention fast. But text still have that power, like when someone gist or write from the heart. Sometimes a few words can definitely hit you harder than a flashy video.
-
Long Form Content Vs. Short Forum Content
I prefer long-form content. When I watch a proper YouTube video, it feels like you actually learn something. Short clips are interesting but most of them are too shallow. I feel like long-form gives creators time to express themselves. But I won’t lie, attention span has really reduced these days. People want quick laughs and move on.
-
How many social platforms are you on?
Too many of them. I’m on X, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, even Threads. It’s like every year, a new app will pop up. Sometimes I feel burnt out, I'm not going to lie. Managing all of them it’a not easy, especially when you are trying to post regularly.
-
Your preferred OS for content creation
Honestly, I’m more comfortable with Windows. It’s what I started with, and it still gets the job done. I tried Mac before, but the price is too steep. I like how flexible Windows are. The plugins, software, everything is just perfect.

The "It's Just a Prank Bro" Mentality: Why Do People Think Cameras Make Everything OK?
That “just a prank bro” line is tiring now. Half of these prank videos are not funny again, they’re just pure disrespect. You can’t embarrass somebody, then say “it’s content.” I remember one guy tried that in a mall, before he could explain, the other person gave him a dirty slap. People should learn boundaries.

Chat Culture: Are We Creating Digital Bullies?
It's like people are just using online to display their wicked side. The way some folks insult others over a small disagreement is crazy. I think it's because we don't see each other face-to-face, some people feel too bold to talk anyhow. I’ve seen creators almost quit because of hate comments.
