  1. Promoting your indie game is a business that must be taken very seriously. Use social media to create a community around your game and target gamers and websites that cover that game in one way or the other. That's just a few points! How do you market your indie game?
  2. There are so many AI tools that can turbo-charge your workflow and content. These tools can help in time saving and in generating new ideas. It also helps in automating video editing too. ChatGPT and image-generation applications are some of the other common AI-driven applications that are mostly used by people. What's your go-to AI tools?
  3. Whenever it comes to editing software, one can find a lot of great options. Adobe premiere and Capcut are highly used for video editing. For audio editing, the common tools are Audacity or Adobe audition. The trick is to identify a program that can accommodate you according to your needs and proficiency.
  4. An excellent idea may be to work with other creators and find new audiences and develop something new. Communicate well and manage expectations when working with other people. Be sensitive to others' style and ideas and be open to feedback. Teamwork may result in new opportunities, skills, as well as foster connections.

  6. Creating a personal brand is the most important thing for a creator. It has a lot to do with your personal style, interaction with the audience and more emphasis on your skills. To build a personal brand, ensure that what you are posting portrays your brand in terms of style and tone. Honesty is also a very important key thing.
  7. My concentration is on 2-3 platforms where my audience is the strongest. If I have too much, it may bring down my efforts. However, I ensure that the platforms I choose are compatible with my content objectives.
  8. AI tools can help to automate the process of content generation, yet it must be mentioned that one should be very cautious about their usage. I use AI just to generate ideas but my creativity matter more to me
  9. I began with a simple webcam and editing software, which was free. Later, I upgraded my microphone and moved to Adobe Premiere and that makes a big difference. Now, I'm planning on investing in an improved lighting system.
  10. YouTube is actually unpredictable. Part of the updates benefit the creators and other parts damage visibility. The changes don't really favour smaller creators and they risk being left behind.
  11. I see the issue of lower rates of updates, but it may translate to more stability and fewer bugs. There are instances where updates are rushed at causing more problems to the users.
  12. I like the better revenue split of Kick, and of course, it's Twice alternative but then there is platform loyalty to consider. I would consider changing to Kick in case the platform has the features and the community that would benefit my streaming goals.
  13. Adobe creative suite and cloud storage are necessities for creators. Also, the streaming services are also worth it. But for smaller projects, they can be handled with alternatives like Canva or free cloud storage providers.
  14. I believe that a few indie games are too excessive in their dealings mostly due to the social media hype. They might not even live up to expectations.
  15. The anti-adblocking of YouTube makes me mad. Unless they stop shoving advertisements in my face when using the Premium system, I might resort to using something else.
  16. I am probably having 5-7 subscriptions, not counting streaming services and software. To be honest, it is becoming too much. I have been reviewing to determine whether any one of them is giving value or not.
  17. Marketing and funds are the major challenges to indie devs. Building a community around the game and spreading the news about it may be very challenging. I think the solution may lie in an attempt to cooperate with influencers on social media platforms.
  18. I would prefer to create content on games, and would like to focus more on indie games and retro games because I love finding hidden gems and sharing them with people.
  19. In case social media disappeared tomorrow, I will use the mailing list systems and Discord groups to address my audience. It would be better to establish direct channels of communication with the audience. So, my take is that diversification is necessary and we should not limit ourselves to only one platform.
  20. I still have a retro-Game Boy and it works great. I purchased it from a friend just for a nostalgic experience. I'm so happy I did because it's nice playing my favourite classic games.
  21. I foresee that AI content will become more common and virtual reality will become more involved in streaming and games. Other new platforms may also evolve that are niche targeted and with more interactive experiences.
  22. In case I hit a dead end in my creative process, I turn to some other activities like music or literature. Socializing with other people or even taking some rest also works. At times, I take a break and I get back having new ideas and a new perspective.
  23. I maintain self-care, I don't expect too much, and incorporate breaks when it is required in order to counter burnout. Identifying the symptoms of burnout at an early stage has enabled me to balance my workload in a healthy and creative manner.
  24. I prioritize producing content that my audience is going to connect with, but I do not want to take into consideration only the algorithms. Although it is useful to know the fundamentals of the algorithm. Generally, I find that authenticity and interaction with my audience is of greater benefit in the long term.
  25. I moved to Bluesky because Twitter has gone toxic. It was a great change and I found a comparatively positive community on Bluesky. It may take time to rebuild, but the features of the new platform has proved to be worth it.
