Tiktok popularized short form videos. A lot of video sharing sites felt threatened, so they also adopted short from content. Now, Tiktok is working towards medium length content, and hopefully long form content in the future. Between short form content and long form content, what do you like to create?

I've been thinking a lot on how many platforms I'm currently posting too, which got me contemplating iin dropping some in order to better focus on. Right now I'm on Threads, Bluesky, and Mastodon. With Threads I'm getting tired of the constant barrage of the For You feed. It's nothing but highly clickbaity, ragebait posts that I'm just tired of seeing everyday. I wish we could just have the Following tab be our default view of Threads. Add in the fact of Threads down ranking your posts if you include links into it. This is just some old world social networking thinking that this is still around, aren't we feed up with the silo'd feeds and how dare you direct people off p…

What operating system do you typically use during your content creation process? Are you fully into the Windows world for everything or MacOS, perhaps you might be a Linux person. Which ever you might choose are you leaning towards one camp or a combination of a two or more?

From shooting strangers with paintball guns to harassing delivery drivers until they pull weapons, some creators seem to think filming makes any behavior acceptable. Why do you think people lose empathy when there's a camera involved? Is it the money, the views, or something deeper?

When viewers donate money specifically to watch creators suffer or embarrass themselves, who's really responsible? Is it just harmless entertainment, or are we training entire communities to find human pain amusing? Have you ever seen chat go too far, and what did you do about it?

What's on your creative bucket list? What's holding you back, and what would it take to actually start this weekend?

If you could go back to when you first started creating content (or thinking about it), what's the one piece of advice you'd give yourself? Would it be technical, mindset-related, or about building community? For those just starting, what questions are you hoping someone will answer from experience?

Podcasts are getting very popular. Compared to videos, creating podcast is somewhat easier. All you need a guest and talk to the guest about topics that people like to search online. If you create both podcasts as well as videos, what do you like to create videos or podcasts?

Apart from creating podcasts occasionally, for self pleasure, I have not done podcasting for the sake of content creation. I have published a few podcasts but my podcasts are not widely distributed. I would like to do more podcasting in the future, what about you? Do you do podcasting?

It's another day that ends in Y that there is another data breach of some sort. Its pretty much a given in that your information being held on some database is not secure what so ever. We've seen breaches on our credit report holders, resulting in a year of credit monitoring service for a year. This only becomes a meme at this point with breaches after another. This time a third-party provider has been breached that was involved with Discord. The VergeDiscord customer service data breach leaks user info and...An “unauthorized party” may have accessed the names of users, the last four digits of credit card numbers, and more.

What's your honest take on using AI tools for content creation helpful assistant or creative crutch? I feel like this topic is so divisive right now. Some creators swear by AI for speeding up their workflow and handling the tedious stuff while others think it's killing originality and making everything feel generic. Where do you fall on this? Are you using AI regularly and finding it genuinely useful, or does it feel like cheating somehow? And have you noticed a difference in how your audience responds to AI-assisted content versus stuff you create completely from scratch? I'm curious if you think we're headed toward a future where using AI is just standard practice or if…

What's the most valuable piece of advice another creator has given you that actually changed how you work? I'm curious because sometimes one conversation or offhand comment from someone who's been through it can completely shift your perspective. Was it something about workflow, dealing with criticism, finding your unique voice, or maybe just practical stuff like scheduling or monetization? And did you implement it right away or did it take time to sink in? I feel like the best advice often comes from creators who are just a few steps ahead of you rather than the huge names because they remember what your current struggles actually feel like 💯

Have you ever had a piece of content completely flop when you thought it would do well, and what did you learn from it? I'm talking about those times when you put in tons of effort, felt really confident about what you created, hit publish, and then... crickets. No engagement, no shares, barely any views. It's such a deflating experience. Did it make you question your instincts about what your audience wants? Or did you figure out something specific about timing, format, or topic selection that you missed?

Writing about current events, or creating videos/podcast on current topic is easy, however, the trends fade fast. If you want long-term traffic on your written content or audio visual content, focus on evergreen topics, the topics that stay relevant for years. This strategy will help you get ongoing traffic. You might not get immediate traffic, but unlike current topics that stops accumulating views after a while, evergreen content generates regular traffic.

Finding your niche is a journey, I won't lie. I started doing random stuff like travel, tech, food until I noticed people vibed more with my tech tips. That’s how I locked in. Sometimes it’s not about what you love alone but what people connect with too. Just experiment and watch what clicks with you. You’ll figure it out eventually. So, it needs no pressure at all.

Keep it simple but bold. Use bright colours, close-up faces, and short text. I’ve noticed that thumbnails with real emotion like surprise or excitement always perform better. I learned that the hard way after posting one dull thumbnail that nobody clicked 😩. Canva helps a lot too, I just pick a clean layout and tweak it small.

I’ve tried a lot of them, but I think Notion just clicks for me than the rest. It’s quite simple and flexible as well. I use it to track ideas, plan content, and even write small notes for videos. But if you’re just starting, Google Sheet can still work wonders if you know how to use it.

Do you collaborate with other creators often or do you prefer working solo and keeping full creative control? I'm interested because collaboration seems like it could be amazing for reaching new audiences and bouncing ideas around, but it also means compromising on your vision and dealing with scheduling conflicts and different work styles. Have you found collaborations that actually worked well and felt worth the effort or do they usually end up being more hassle than they're worth? And if you do collaborate, how do you choose who to work with friends, people in your niche or creators with completely different audiences?

We've all had those content ideas that seemed like complete duds but ended up being surprisingly popular with our audience. Share your unexpected wins - what content performed way better than expected? Was it timing, authenticity, or just hitting a topic at the right moment? Sometimes the content we're least confident about resonates the most.

For me, the keys to remaining motivated and inspired is being curious, taking calculated risks, and joining a supportive community. That way, you’ll surround yourself with creative people and be inspired by creativity. Being curious also makes me focused and motivated to continue exploring no matter the situation.

If you currently own a blog do you prefer to type things up in a word processor before you post it to your website? Or do you prefer to write your drafts on your website and then whenever it's ready to be posted you post it immediately? I just typically save drafts on my blog and just edit and add things to each article before I post it. I've tried using a word processor in the past but the formatting was always off. Though it might be better to do both just incase your website glitches out and you lose your drafts.

The most exciting emerging trend is Augmented reality (AR). AR gives the developers the power to create immersive experiences by combining the real and digital worlds. No doubt that AR is also introducing new opportunities in the digital space.
